#Contagion-A deadly disease, spread by contact threatens to wipe out the world. I'm off to wash my hands! 7/10


Captain America: The First Avenger-Usual Marvel action story. Not bad but not brilliant either, a little too long at the start 6/10


Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale-The original Santa gets dug up but is he playing nice? A little odd to say the least! 5.5/10


#Drive-a stunt man and get away driver lands himself in trouble. Well made and a really good watch. 8/10


Watership down-A childhood favourite. carton rabbits kick the crap out of each other. Great stuff and really sad 8/10


Apollo 18-An attempt at The Blair Witch Project but on the moon. Nice idea but lacks any suspense and horror. 4.5/10



Mission Impossible 4-Some great action scenes but fails to shine. Lacks a great story 6/10






The Girl with the #DragonTattoo-For once a remake that's more than a match for the original. 8.5/10


Silent Night, Deadly Night-A teenager snaps and dressed as Santa starts killing people, funny in places but ultimately dull 4/10


The Assassin-Bridget Fonda goes from criminal to super agent. Lacks any real story and not even that much action 5/10


Elite Squad: Enemy Within -A good sequel with more of a story and less action than the original. Well worth a watch 7/10



Turner & Hooch-Tom Hanks when he was funny! perfect Sunday afternoon movie 7/10



Vampires 2010-Quirky French horror documentary about a film crew following a family of vampires. Maintains your interest 6.5/10



The Guard-Quirky Irish police man Brendan Gleeson forms an unlikely alliance with an FBI agent. Really funny in places. 7/10


Down Terrace-Slow to start but worth sticking with. Low budget grim look at he life of a family surrounded by crime. 6/10



Franklyn-Decent fantasy thriller split between modern day and a futuristic alternate. Comes together well at the end. 6.5/10


K-19: The Widowmaker-Things start to go wrong in a Russian submarine. Harrison Ford tries to sort it out. Done it all before 6/10


Love and Other Drugs-Good first hour but then becomes a standard romcom. Anne Hathaway is great! 6/10



Dead Ringers-Starts off as a decent thriller and ends up as an intriguing horror! Jeremy Irons plays twins with issues. 7/10


Point Blank (subtitled) - A nurse is forced to break the law when he saves the wrong man. Fast paced thriller 7/10



The Negotiator-Everything and everyone is against Samuel L. Jackson can he prove his innocence? 8/10




Stake Land-Not the usual vampire flick, decent if a little slow in places. 6.5/10


Tell no one-Fast paced French drama. A man receives an email from his wife who died 8 years ago. Rare unpredictable film. 7/10


The Rite-Seen it all before exorcism film with Anthony Hopkins. Try the exorcism of Emily Rose instead. 6/10




The man who would be king. Fast paced adventure with Sean Connery and Michael Caine as two soldiers who play Gods. 7.5/10


The next three days-Decent drama, Russell Crowe contemplates drastic measures to get his wife out of jail. 7/10


RED-Some really good action scenes but nothing new and an average story. Bruce Willis still has it! 6/10






The Day the earth stood still-Keanu Reeves puts everyone to sleep in this seriously dull remake. Just destroy the earth who cares 5


Troll Hunter-Absorbing documentary style film. One mans job is to control the Norwegian Troll population. Surprise of the year? 7.5



How Do You Know-Boring, bland and predictable, only Reece Witherspoon makes it watchable. 4.5/10


13 Assassins-Slow start and the big fight scene is a little one sided. Still not bad but nothing special. 6/10


Rosemary's Baby- Some OTT acting doesn't spoil a good story that isnt a typical 1960s film. Mia Farrow is particularly good. 6/10


Street Kings-Almost an all star cast, Keanu Reeves tries to clear his name in a cop killing, things get messy. Decent pace 7/10



Renaissance -Animated film with Daniel Craig. Decent story and some cracking visuals. 6/10


The Inbetweeners Movie-Some good laughs but ultimately not as much fun as a good episode. 6/10










Escape from Alcatraz-Is Frank Morris (Clint Eastwood) the only man ever to escape from Alcatraz? Great story. 8/10






Your Highness-Sadly the funniest bits were in the trailer, long sections with no jokes at all and limited story. 4.5/10


The Gauntlet-Not one of Eastwoods best films as he escorts a witness across America but has a superb ending 20 mins. 6/10



Scary Movie-Much funnier than i remember at the start but the last 30 mins are just dull 6/10

The Bleeding-Awful vampire movie with Vinnie Jones. So dull you wont care. The stunning Rachelle Leah makes it watchable, just 1/10

The Mechanic 2011-Decent remake with lots of action, Jason Statham is a hit man who takes on Ben Foster as his apprentice. 6/10

Black Christmas 1974-one of the first slasher films ever made. Copied many times but still feels fresh 6.5/10

Insidious- A family fight to stop demons taking their child. Really scary first hour then turns into a comedy by the end! 6/10
